Hibernation
I have been quiet for a while and have not posted any new blog posts for three weeks. This was mostly due to the fact that I felt I deserved a little holiday and for a blissful week-and-a-half, did virtually nothing but watching episodes of my favourite sci-fi tv-shows.
Last week I was able to rouse myself from my little pre-winter hibernation and worked very hard on the Dutch translation of the Time Zones book. The text is now ready, a new title finally found and next week everything will go to the printers.
I am very excited about this new book, for although it is a direct translation of the English Time Zones, it feels like a complete new book.
The coming week I will focus my attention back on my new post-war architecture project. This has been a little bit overshadowed by the translation project, but can now go full steam ahead.
I am excited about the local archives finally being back at the town hall, after an absence of almost a year, in which they were digitalised. Next week I will go to the town hall and spend some time looking through the new digital archive for nice drawings of the buildings I want to write about.
Hopefully the local newspaper will also publish my article about the post-war architecture project in the coming week.
Although the days are getting shorter and winter is definitely coming, I feel awake again and full of inspiration. There’s nothing like a little hibernation at an unexpected time.
